Clan Falkor
Clan Falkor is the largest by population and landholdings - but also the most secretive and decidedly least cooperative - of the 3 dwarven clans. The clan maintains a single stronghold, Kir Dungar, deep in the Eastern Mountains. The remainder of its population works thousands of mines spread throughout the range. These near slaves primarily mine precious gemstones. Little interaction occurs between Clan Falkor and its cousins, except in times of direst need.
The wealth of Clan Falkor is incalculable. The legendarily massive horde of gems is locked away behind a massive, centuries old vault guarded by the clan’s kings, both present, and according to legend, long past. It is said that Clan Falkor’s rulers never fully leave Thirith after their mortal passing.
Unlike their cousins, Clan Falkor never ceased its worship of Cromdahk, but their version of the faith is far different than that seen in the renewed church of Clan Rumblefish.
Leader: King Jarrarod Stormwelder is the 7th of his house to hold the throne of Clan Falkor. He, like those before him, lords over his people with might and fury. Under his rule, the mines of Clan Falkor have produced riches beyond comprehension.
Important Figures:
1. Demanjuk Flamehair: Demanjuk is feared throughout the entire Eastern Mountain range, by dwarf and monster alike. It is said that even giants tremble in his presence. Demanjuk frequently travels between mining location to single-handedly put down any insurrectionist behaviors.
2. High Clerist Rochnurge Kurganal: The High Clerist, a position that has survived innumerable ages, is the leader of the Church of Cromdahk, as followed by members of Clan Falkor. He is a shrewd, brutal man, the only member of the clan who can stand nose-to-nose with the king and expect to walk away alive.
Important Locations:
1. Kir Dungar: This massive stronghold is located deep in the Eastern Mountains where lava flows near the surface. It is populated solely by the noble families of Clan Falkor. All others reside in and around the thousands of mines spread throughout the mountain range.
