Beril
Beril is a small city situated on the north coast of Grandish on the eastern end of the island. She is the last settlement before the long stretch of coastline known as The Savage Coast. Beril enjoys strong trading ties with the markets of Weton and has become somewhat of a stopover for ships transporting Oak Island’s stout logs to shipbuilding yards in the capital city.
Beril’s fishermen ply the northern waters year-round in search of plentiful schools Grandish’s favorite delicacies. Though surrounded by jungle, the city is rarely threatened by ape attacks as the nearby mountains shield her for the larger populations in the deep rainforests.
Leader: Mayor Keahi Kakalina. Beril’s mayor is a jovial man with the belly to prove it. He is always to be found smiling and laughing, spreading great mirth wherever he travels. Keahi is as adept at a pig roast as he is in the political sphere.
Important Figures:
1. Arch Prelate Malakai Heremoana: A true priest of Habbakuk, Malakai enjoys great respect throughout the kingdom for miracles both rumored and true. Important Locations:

2. Temple of Habbakuk: Second only to Weton’s, Beril’s temple to the nation’s patron is a fitting offering to the revered god.
3. Palamalu’s: This inn is run by the retired athlete by the same name, Troy Palamalu. He loves to regale his patrons with tales of his exploits. He is known for his long hair, his awesome feats of strength even to this day, and the even stronger ales that flow within.
