Habbakuk is god of the sea. He is lord of all creatures of the sea, and patron of fishermen, rangers, druids, sailors, and the natural cycle of life and death. He opposes undeath and aberrations of magic. Habbakuk is one of the elder gods of Thirith.
Habbakuk serves as the patron god of the Kingdom of Grandish. Since the cataclysm, Habbakuk has stepped back in his relationship with his worshippers, though he was never as physically active as the other elder gods. Worshippers of Habbakuk were always few and far between outside of Grandish, even before the cataclysm, though word of his deeds spread due to the wide reach of the sailing ships of the kingdom.
Habbakuk's Clerics wear long blue-grey robes and pray for spells from him at sunrise. Even since the cataclysm and his retreat from the world, his clerics have maintained some level of their prior magics, particularly in the realm of healing and dealing with creatures of the sea.
The holy symbol of Habbakuk is a polished seashell of any type, ofttimes fashioned into a piece of jewelry worn by the cleric. The shell must be acquired and polished by the prospective acolyte soon after they pledge themselves to the god's service.
