Cromdahk, the ancient dwarven god of the forge, fire and ore, revealed himself to Caldahk of Clan Rumblefish on September 18th of the year 21 from a mysterious crystal deep inside the Cavern of Doom.
Cromdahk recounted the existence a long-forgotten order of dwarven priests and paladins, the Solemns. According to the god, Caldahk's blood served as Solemns for centuries. Through the dwarven traditions of honor, strength, faith and knowledge, the Solemns professed Cromdahk's word for many generations prior to the cataclym.
When the gods of old realized that The Being could not be defeated even with their combined power, Cromdahk sacrificed his own essence to entomb it deep inside the Cavern of Doom. Through this final act, Cromdahk sealed the cavern by entrusting his soul into thousands of crystals, channeling their power to trap The Being. The magic of the crystals combined with Cromdahk's essence lasted centuries, but as revealed to Caldahk, his strength had begun to wane after so long and the god feared that soon The Being would break free. Already its mind was able to project outside the cavern, even though its body remained trapped.
Cromdahk charged Caldahk of the Solemns with forging an eternal bond with the humans of Thirith, destroying The Being, and to ensure that his name is never forgotten amongst the dwarves.
The holy symbol of Cromdahk is a small forge hammer. It must be crafted by the finest of dwarven blacksmiths, deep within the mountains of their lands.

With the disappearance of Caldahk the Solemn, Paladin of Cromdahk, it is unknown whether word of the god’s reappearance has reached the dwarven kingdoms. Certainly his light once revealed shall not die as is the way with the forge of a fallen hammersmith .

The First Heroes, upon reaching Clan Rumblefish, discovered a thriving church of Cromdahk, led by their former Caldahk, who apparently did return, called back by his deity to establish a central house of worship deep in the clan's capital city.
